Thomas P. Nelson is an Associate Principal in the firm’s Mt. Clemens office. With over 25 years of legal experience, his practice is primarily dedicated to auto litigation, specifically specializing in No-Fault defense, including First-Party and Third-Party Auto Negligence.

Throughout his career, Mr. Nelson has represented both defense and plaintiff sides, providing him with a comprehensive perspective on litigation. He previously managed a partnership in Rogers City, Michigan, for nearly a decade and possesses extensive experience in both trial and appellate courts.

Mr. Nelson earned his Juris Doctor from the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, where he graduated in the top 10% of his class and was a recipient of the prestigious Jerome P. Cavanaugh Full Tuition Scholarship. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Michigan, where he graduated in the top 25% of his class and was a member of the Phi Alpha Theta History Honors Society.

Mr. Nelson is licensed to practice in Michigan, as well as the U.S. District Court – Eastern District of Michigan and the U.S. District Court – Western District of Michigan.

Outside of his legal practice, Mr. Nelson is an active member of St. Ephrem’s Catholic Church.
