John Wasung recently received a no proximate cause defense jury verdict after six days of trial in the Lucas County Court of Common Pleas. The matter centered around a patient with a cervical fracture that allegedly was diagnosed late and was transferred without a collar or backboard from one ER direct into a tertiary hospital ICU instead of a trauma ER, which was claimed to have resulted in the patient’s C5 complete quadriplegia.
