Terence P. Durkin recently accepted an invitation from the Michigan Health & Hospital Association (MHA)to participate as members of the Quality and Accountability Committee.

Established in 1919, the MHA represents the interests of its member hospitals and health systems in both the legislative and regulatory arenas on key issues, and supports their efforts to provide quality, cost-effective and accessible care. MHA’s vision is to advance the health of individuals and communities.

The MHA Quality and Accountability Committee reviews quality initiatives, accreditation standards, and policy changes to form the MHA’s position on healthcare quality and management issues. The committee also authorizes requests for MHA data resources, and guides MHA data acquisition and exchange policies.

Mr. Durkin is a principal with the Kitch law firm. His practice focuses on defense of hospitals and healthcare providers in professional malpractice litigation. He joined the firm in 2002, after clerking for the Honorable Thomas S. Eveland of the 56th Circuit Court.
