Susan MacGregor and Sean Fosmire of the firm’s Upper Michigan office are celebrating a No Cause verdict returned on Friday, December 21, after a two-week trial which was highly publicized. The plaintiff sued an Upper Michigan municipality and its city manager claiming that gender discrimination motivated her termination as Police Chief. The jury instead concluded that she was terminated because of performance issues.

Susan MacGregor is head of the firm’s Upper Michigan office in Marquette. She works in a variety of different practice areas, including health care, medical malpractice defense, employment law, governmental tort liability, and general litigation.

Sean Fosmire is a Principal in the Marquette office. His practice includes general civil litigation with emphasis on medical and legal professional liability, no-fault automobile coverage, complex litigation, insurance coverage, environmental, and title insurance defense.
