Madeline Tripp, a legal assistant in the Detroit office, has been crowned as the Queen of the Detroit United Irish Societies. As the Queen, Maddie will be representing the Irish community at various events throughout the year. These events include the Detroit St. Patrick’s Parade, Paul W. Smith St. Patrick’s Day Radio Show, the Motor City Irish Fest, and other speaking events. Maddie will also participate in the Irish Heritage Night at Comerica Park.

Maddie will receive a trip to Ireland to learn more about her heritage and visit the land of her ancestors. She will be the guest of County Cork and attend a lunch in her honor where she will meet the Mayor and Council members, along with other planned events by the Council.

Maddie expressed her excitement and gratitude for the opportunity to represent the Detroit Irish community. “I am so honored and excited to represent the Detroit Irish community this year as the 2024 Queen of the Detroit United Irish Societies! This program helps educate the next generation about their Irish heritage and empower young women in the Metro-Detroit area while continuing the partnership between Corktown, Detroit and County Cork, Ireland. I’m looking forward to meeting this year’s dignitaries visiting from County Cork, being in the Detroit St. Patrick’s Parade, and visiting County Cork, Ireland this summer!”
