Karen Berkery will be moderating at ICLE’s Labor and Employment Law Institute and presenting on Litigating with the Pro Se Plaintiff, April 19 & 20, 2018 at the Inn at St. John’s in Plymouth.

Karen B. Berkery is a principal and heads the firm’s labor and employment group. In 1999 Ms. Berkery was appointed a hearing referee by the Michigan Civil Rights Commission and since 2000 has also served as case counsel to the commission. Her professional affiliations and memberships include the New York State Bar, Health Law, and Labor and Employment Sections of the State Bar of Michigan, and Wayne County Bar Association Employment Law Section. Ms. Berkery has authored many articles on various employment and health law topics and is a frequent lecturer on all aspects of employment law including the FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and sexual harassment.
