On December 7, 2021, a federal judge in the Southern District of Georgia issued a preliminary injunction against enforcing the vaccine mandate for federal contractors and subcontractors. In Georgia v Biden, the Court acknowledged the effect COVID-19 has had on the country and the world. “However, even in times of crisis this Court must preserve the rule of law and ensure that all branches of government act within the bounds of their constitutionally granted authorities.”

This Court’s ruling falls in line with prior courts that have recently issued preliminary injunctions against enforcing the vaccine mandates for healthcare workers and for private companies with 100 or more employees.
