Dan Shirey will be sworn in as the new president of the Detroit Bar Association and John Sier will be presented with the Frank Murphy Award for his dedication to the legal community.

Raising the Bar 2020, the Detroit Bar Association’s Annual Meeting and Awards Presentation will be held virtually this year on Thursday, Aug. 13 from 4-5 p.m. The Annual Meeting is a complimentary event.

Daniel Shirey is a principal of the firm, who has been with the firm for more than 30 years. He has extensive litigation experience in the areas of medical and dental malpractice, estate litigation and probate, and also specializes in the areas of healthcare professional licensing defense and tax issues. Mr. Shirey also heads the firm’s Estate Planning, Trust and Estate Administration practice.

John Sier heads the firm’s construction and commercial litigation practice. With more than three decades of experience, Mr. Sier concentrates his practice on dispute avoidance and resolution of commercial, healthcare and construction contract issues.
