Alan J. Taylor

Mr. Taylor’s practice focuses on litigation issues involving real estate, commercial transactions, securities law, professional negligence claims (including insurance agents, lawyers, judges and accountants) and creditor’s rights. His expertise also includes advising clients on all aspects of commercial, industrial and residential landlord/tenant matters. A distinguished member of the Kitch firm’s commercial litigation practice, Mr. Taylor has diligently represented individuals, closely held companies and publicly-traded corporations since his admission to the Michigan Bar in 1994.

In addition to being actively involved with the State Bar of Michigan and serving as a frequent speaker on real estate issues, Mr. Taylor is also involved in several professional associations located in Southeastern Michigan.  He has significant experience litigating cases in Michigan's District Courts, Circuit Courts, Bankruptcy Courts and Federal Courts (both Eastern and Western Districts of Michigan).

Mr. Taylor is AV Peer Review Rated by LexisNexis/Martindale-Hubbell. The AV Peer Review rating is the highest rating allowed. It attests to a lawyer’s legal ability and professional ethics, and reflects the confidential opinions of the Bar and the Judiciary.

Mr. Taylor attended the London School of Economics.  He also received a B.A. in Economics, with distinction, from the University of Michigan, in 1991 and his J.D. from Wayne State University in 1994.  While attending Wayne State, Mr. Taylor served as a 3 term member of its Student Board of Governors and its Student Recruitment Committee.
