Thomas Shimmel is a principal in the firm’s renowned birth trauma defense practice.  Located in the firm’s Detroit office, Mr. Shimmel has more than 20 years of experience, and has developed a special expertise in birth trauma defense litigation.

He is admitted to practice law in Michigan and the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Michigan.

Mr. Shimmel received his J.D. from the Wayne State University Law School.  He also earned a B.A. in History and Economics from Albion College.
