3 Kitch Leaders Speak at 2018 ICLE No-Fault Summit

Marcy Taylor, Mark Sesi and Amanda Kakos have been invited to speak at the 2018 ICLE No-Fault Summit on April 26 and 27 in Plymouth Michigan.  Their programs address  Bazzi v Sentinel Insurance concerning the innocent third-party rule, What Adjusters Wish Lawyers Knew, and The Interplay Between No-Fault and Worker's Compensation.  These are truly hot issues in the industry today.

Marcy A. Tayler has devoted her practice to the defense of complex, first-party no-fault litigation and a wide variety of other insurance defense matters. She has served as first chair trial counsel in well over 100 trials, which have gone to verdict in favor of her clients. Ms. Tayler is licensed to practice in all Michigan trial courts as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. She is often appointed to serve as an arbitrator in insurance-related matters. Ms. Tayler is a past two-term executive council member of the State Bar of Michigan Character and Fitness Committee and just completed her term as chair of the State Bar Litigation Section. She will continue to serve on the Litigation Section Executive Council in an ex officio status.

Mark M. Sesi focuses his practice on no-fault defense, including first-party and third-party auto negligence, workers' compensation, general litigation, premise liability, insurance defense, and coverage matters. He is the practice group leader of the firm's food and beverage industry and workers' compensation defense practices. Since joining the firm in 2002, Mr. Sesi's experience has regularly extended to insurance coverage, health care, trucking and food, beverage, and petroleum issues. He has handled claims for national insurance carriers, third-party administrators, insurance captives, major hospital systems, and Fortune 500 companies, from the initial accident investigation, through trial, and on appeal in some of the most difficult venues in the country. Mr. Sesi also serves as chief outside counsel to a Fortune 100 company in Michigan.

Amanda S. Kakos is a senior associate attorney in the firm. She focuses her practice on the defense of complex first- and third-party no-fault litigation. Ms. Kakos has successfully drafted and argued numerous motions for summary disposition related to issues of coverage. She is a member of the Michigan Defense Trial Counsel and Defense Research Institute. Ms. Kakos is licensed to practice law in the state of Michigan and Eastern District of Michigan.
