David K. Pontes is an associate with the firm in the Mt. Clemens office. He focuses his practice on insurance defense, criminal defense and family law.
Mr. Pontes is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan, as well as the U.S. District Court Eastern District of Michigan. He has been admitted to participate in service and trade mark matters in various Federal Courts.
He was named a Rising Star in 2011 by Super Lawyers. Rising Stars are attorneys who are 40 years old or younger or those who have practiced for ten years or less. Only 2.5 percent of Michigan lawyers are named to this list every year.
Mr. Pontes earned his J.D. from Wayne State University School of Law and is currently working on his M.B.A. from Wayne State University School of Business Administration. He received a B.A. in English Literature with a minor in Environmental Science from the University of Vermont.
Mr. Pontes is on the Public Policy Steering Committee for the Birmingham Bloomfield Chamber of Commerce and has served as an officer for Delta Theta Phi, a legal fraternity.
