Lisa Panah has been a member of the firm's healthcare corporate practice since 1996. With more than 10 years of experience, Ms. Panah focuses her practice on advising hospitals and other healthcare providers on transactional, operational and regulatory matters.
Ms. Panah is licensed to practice law in Michigan, Illinois and the U.S. District Court of Eastern Michigan. She holds active leadership positions in several professional organizations, served as the Chair of the State Bar of Michigan, Health Care Law Section. She also frequently publishes articles, regularly contributes to the firm's annual publication, The Michigan Legal Update, and makes presentations on healthcare regulatory issues affecting healthcare providers. In 2006, Ms. Panah created a Health Law Index, a resource for individuals and organizations interested in Michigan health law issues, which is posted on the Health Care Law Section website.
Ms. Panah is AV® Peer Review Rated by LexisNexis/Martindale Hubbell. The AV Peer Review rating is the highest rating allowed. It attests to a lawyer's legal ability and professional ethics, and reflects the confidential opinions of the Bar and the Judiciary.
She was named a Michigan Super Lawyer in 2007-2012. Only five percent of the attorneys in the state are named Super Lawyers.
Ms. Panah received her J.D. from Wayne State University Law School and an L.L.M. in Health Law from DePaul University College of Law. She also received a Bachelor of Arts in English Literature from the University of Michigan.
