On May 21st and 22nd, Elise Arsenault and Greg Drutchas will be presenting live and by webinar to 11 hospitals in the Upper Peninsula, including in-person presentations at Mackinac Straits Health System (with several hospitals participating remotely), Baraga County Memorial Hospital and Schoolcraft Memorial Hospital, on Michigan’s new opioid and controlled substance prescribing laws affecting licensed professionals, several of which will be going into effect on June 1st and give rise to licensure and risk management concerns for health care providers.
Gregory Drutchas leads the firm's healthcare business and regulatory, medical staff, and insurance practices. In addition to his expertise in corporate healthcare, medical staff matters and insurance, Mr. Drutchas has considerable experience in a variety of other areas, including medical malpractice defense litigation, employment law, commercial litigation and appellate practice. He has been with the firm for more than 35 years.
