Barbara Martin has been a part of the firm's medical malpractice defense practice since 1992.  With more than a decade of experience, Ms. Martin concentrates her practice on defending hospitals and physicians against claims of professional negligence.  Her previous experience includes working as a junior executive for a major automobile manufacturer. 

Ms. Martin is licensed to practice law in Michigan and the U.S. District Court of Eastern Michigan. She is a member of the State Bar of Michigan, the Oakland County Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. She also serves on the Board of Directors of the Detroit President’s Association.

Ms. Martin received her J.D. from the University of Detroit School of Law, where she was a member of Law Review, the Moot Court Board of Directors, the Order of Barristers and the American Inn of Court. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Albion College with a double major in Economics and Management, and Political Science.  She was also named to the Omicron Delta Epsilon National Honor Society.
