On May 9, 2018, Don Lenderman addressed second-year obstetrical residents from numerous programs at William Beaumont Hospital-Royal Oak as part of the Southeast Michigan Center for Medical Education (SEMCME) Postpartum Hemorrhage Course. The topic, “Documenting an Obstetrical Emergency,” highlighted documentation strategies and electronic medical record issues relating to postpartum hemorrhage cases. The program was part of SEMCME’s simulation-based training of second-year residents. SEMCME is a consortium of hospital residency programs devoted to furthering medical education. Consortium members include Henry Ford Hospital, Beaumont Hospital-Royal Oak, Detroit Medical Center, Providence-Providence Park Hospital and Wayne State University, among others.
