On June 19, 2018 Kristen Cook obtained a judgment in favor of Defendant following a bench trial on liability in the Northern District of Ohio. Plaintiff filed a lawsuit against his former employer alleging that he was discriminated against on the basis of race following the termination of his employment as a truck driver. Defendant argued that Plaintiff was terminated due to his refusal to take a random drug test as required by Department of Transportation regulations and that he was notified of such drug test consistent with DOT guidelines and Company policy.
