William D. Hodgman

William Hodgman serves of counsel to the firm.  His practice focuses on healthcare law, with special emphasis on physician recruitment and retention and healthcare transactions, as well as commercial issues and estate planning.  He has over 35 years of experience, and served as the co-founder of another law firm before joining the Kitch firm.

In addition to his law practice, Mr. Hodgman serves as chairman of St. John Macomb Hospital and as a member of the finance committee on the board of St. John Health, the parent organization.  He is an author and frequent presenter on healthcare topics. 

Mr. Hodgman was named a Michigan Super Lawyer in 2008, 2009 and 2011. Only five percent of the attorneys in the state are named Super Lawyers.

He is AV® Peer Review Rated by LexisNexis/Martindale-Hubbell. The AV Peer Review rating is the highest rating allowed. It attests to a lawyer’s legal ability and professional ethics, and reflects the confidential opinions of the Bar and the Judiciary.

Mr. Hodgman earned his J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School and his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University.

He is founder and president of the Grosse Pointe Baseball Organization and a trustee of the Grosse Pointe Park Foundation.
