Timothy S. Groustra

Timothy Groustra is a principal, based in the firm's Mt. Clemens office, specializing in transportation, fraud, governmental and insurance litigation.  In more than 17 years of practicing law, Mr. Groustra has worked with a variety of different types of clients and has been involved in published cases that led to new laws for the State of Michigan.

Mr. Groustra is licensed to practice law in Michigan and Arkansas, as well as the U.S. District Courts of Eastern and Western Michigan, U.S. District Court of Arkansas, and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals.  He is a member of the Michigan and Arkansas Bar Associations, The Trucking Industry Defense Association, the Transportation Lawyers Association, "Transportation Litigators" and DRI (Trucking Section).

He is AV® Peer Review Rated by LexisNexis/Martindale Hubbell.  The AV Peer Review Rating is the highest rating allowed.  It attests to a lawyer's legal ability and professional ethics, and reflects the confidential opinions of the Bar and the Judiciary.  

Mr.  Groustra received his J.D. from the University of Detroit School of Law, where he was Senior Editor of the University of Detroit International Law Journal.  He earned a B.A. in History and Spanish from Clark University, Worcester, MA, where he was named to the Dean's list.  He has studied abroad in England and Spain and is fluent in Spanish.  Mr. Groustra is also a competitive sailor and has raced in several World and National Championship races. 

Mr. Groustra also serves as the team leader for a Rapid Response Team for on-scene accident investigations (www.tida.org).
