William Chaklos is a member of the firm’s medical malpractice defense practice. In more than two decades with the Kitch firm, Mr. Chaklos has devoted his practice exclusively to the defense of professional liability claims. His extensive malpractice experience extends to hospital, physician, and long-term care litigation.
Mr. Chaklos is licensed to practice law in Michigan, as well as the U.S. District Court of Eastern Michigan. In addition to his distinguished legal practice, he makes frequent presentations to physicians and other healthcare professionals across the state on relevant legal issues.
Mr. Chaklos was named a Michigan Super Lawyer in 2007-2009. Only five percent of the attorneys in the state are named Super Lawyers.
He is AV Peer Review Rated by LexisNexis/Martindale-Hubbell. The AV Peer Review rating is the highest rating allowed. It attests to a lawyer’s legal ability and professional ethics, and reflects the confidential opinions of the Bar and the Judiciary.
Mr. Chaklos received his J.D., cum laude, from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He also earned a B.B.A. with honors in Business Administration from Michigan State University.
