William Chaklos is a principal with the Kitch Firm and has been a member of its medical malpractice defense team since 1981. Mr. Chaklos has devoted his practice exclusively to the defense of professional liability claims. His extensive litigation experience focuses on the post-acute care industry, as well as hospital and physician malpractice.
Mr. Chaklos is licensed to practice law in the State of Michigan, as well as the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan. In addition to his distinguished legal practice, he has made frequent presentations to physicians and other healthcare professionals across the state on relevant legal issues.
Since 2007, Mr. Chaklos has been annually named a Michigan Super Lawyer. Only five percent of the attorneys in the state are named Super Lawyers®. Mr. Chaklos received his J.D., cum laude, from the Thomas M. Cooley Law School. He also earned a B.B.A. with honors in Business Administration from Michigan State University.
